Since our inception in 1977 there have been a lot of advances in audio video technologies. Not so long ago, everyone used an overhead projector with transparencies for their business meetings; now they use the latest in digital display technologies, often paired with cloud-based collaboration systems, that allow their employees from all over the world to join in. These days the board rooms and meeting rooms of the corporate world are not complete unless they are equipped with the ‘must have’ solutions from the leading manufacturers like Crestron or SMART Technologies. Going forward with new technologies such as SMART interactive flat panels, I can see that the impact on the corporate world will be tremendous.

The influence SMART Boards have had on teaching methods and student interaction in our schools has been remarkable; it will be interesting to see how much further this sector will grow.
